Operate overhead and mobile cranes safely and efficiently to support plant, yard, and finishing area operations. The role is responsible for handling, lifting, loading, unloading, and positioning of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products in accordance with operating procedures, safety rules, and production requirements to ensure smooth material flow and prevent damage or accidents.
The Operator II – Crane Operator works under the supervision of the assigned Supervisor or In-Charge and is authorized to operate cranes and lifting equipment for routine production, yard, and dispatch activities in accordance with approved procedures. The role has no authority to modify lifting plans, operating limits, or safety systems. Any equipment malfunction, unsafe condition, abnormal load, or deviation from standard procedures must be immediately reported to the supervisor. Decisions related to load approval, operational changes, maintenance actions, or work stoppages beyond immediate safety concerns are escalated to higher authority.
